BANK HOLIDAY CARDS AT WEXFORD AND GALWAY: 14 Irish Bank holiday races from the two meetings and SHAMROCK naps in the 3.25 at Galway.

Happy Bank Holiday (if you’re reading from Ireland !!)

The Barna Recycling Rated Novice Hurdle at Galway looks a real Halloween Monday treat with five of the nine runners winners last time out.

Cool Fighter is in prolific form both over the jumps and on the flat and looks a little-overpriced. He faces a tough task but comes onto this on the back of four consecutive jumps wins and an excellent effort on the flat last time out when fourth in a Leopardstown big field handicap.

Joshua Lane bounced back from pulling up at Killarney in the Ladbrokes Ireland Handicap Hurdle to win here last time out and has been well backed on BETDAQ over the longer trip today.

She’s A Star is lightly raced and won what looked a weak event at Listowel last time out but made several mistakes en route. She looks a little short in the market for my liking.

Narrow preference goes to Oathkeeper who chased home Blood Crazed Tiger at Cork last time. The winner was completing a hat-trick and looks above average and Oathkeeper may still be capable of further improvement. He ran well here in July when a close third to the Mullins trained pair Penhill and Master Of Verse and the half mile drop back in trip today should suit.

SHAMROCK’S BETS:
NAP: Oathkeeper (3.25 Galway)
