LISTED RACE ACTION AT ROSCOMMON: SHAMROCK heads to Roscommon on Monday for their Listed race, the Lenebane Stakes at 8.10.
The John Oxx trained Qewy looks of interest in the Listed Lenebane Stakes at Roscommon this evening.
He is by far the least experienced runner in the field having had just three career starts but has progressed in each of them and there was a lot to like about the style of his maiden race success at Navan last time out when he pulled away in a big field to win by four and a half lengths.
He has to improve further to win this, but that seems likely and it’s worth noting that Oxx has a terrific record in this race winning four of the last five runnings.
The opener should go to the Jim Bolger trained Home School. He was second (4 1/2l) behind Sudirman at Leopardstown last time but given the winner went on to win the Group 2 Railway Stakes at the Curragh the form looks rock solid.
