THURLES NAP: SHAMROCK starts his week with a nap at Thurles in the maiden hurdle at 2.30pm.

Western Honour should make a winning start for Gordon Elliott in the 2.30pm at Thurles this afternoon.

Davy Russell is onboard the six-year-old who is having his first start for the yard since joining from James Moffatt.

His form is modest, but so is this race and if Elliott has managed to conjure up some improvement he should be good enough.

Leave Your Mark, trained by Joseph O’Brien, looks the obvious danger in a race that may well develop into a match. This one has been well beaten in all three of his starts but will find this company much easier and did show a hint of ability at Galway last time out.
