SHAMROCK BIDS FOR 4 OUT OF 5 NAPS THIS WEEK: Another winning nap this week. HARTANI WON 11/8 made all the running to win the opener at Tipperary on Thursday and land Shamrock’s third winning nap since Monday.

Big fields are certainly the order of the night at Cork for their Friday evening jumps card. To say the card looks tough is an understatement but we have to somehow try and keep the run of naps going this week.

I don’t mind big fields if you can rule a lot out – and that’s the case in the opening maiden hurdle at 5.00 where several of the runners can be fairly instantly eliminated.

ROMAN FLIGHT, the mount of Ruby Walsh is the interesting one. A shock 25/1 winner on his flat debut in June last year he travelled well at Clonmel last time before fading to finish fifth to Glamorous. The ground was testing and he may well be better on the firmer surface tonight.

Maxim Gorkey and Raise The Beat both have decent past form to their names but are reappearing after lengthy absences.

In the closing flat race Falcarragh should be suited by the drop back in distance having run well, but failed to see out the longer trip in his last two races.

SHAMROCK’S BETS
NAP: Roman Flight (5.00 Cork)
NEXT BEST: Falcarragh (8.40 Cork)
