121 RUNNERS AT FAIRYHOUSE: Seven races at Hexham this afternoon = 51 runners. Seven races at Fairyhouse this afternoon = 121 runners. Shamrock sorts through the huge fields to find Saturday’s best bets.

It’s going to be easier to find winners at Hexham than Fairyhouse this afternoon as such is the demand for racing in Ireland at the moment that the card has attracted field sizes 137% bigger.

But despite the big fields many of the races can be reduced to just a few with serious chances. Classic caase in point being the 2.30 where Dylan Ross and Reizovic look set to battle out the finish. Preference is for the former who might be the type to catch fresh. He won a couple of NH flat races last year and was unlucky not to collect on his hurdling debut at Down Royal when holding a length lead before falling at the last. He didn’t run well in his subsequent start at the Curragh but hopefully the long break has done him good and he can land my Saturday nap. Reizovic won a flat race here in April in grand style and makes his hurdling debut today. There’s little to separate the pair on BETDAQ in the morning trade but Dylan Ross has acheived the most in his career to date.

In the flat race that concludes the card at 5.20 Mickelson will hopefully be better going right-handed than his namesake golfer! He is the pick here having shown considerable promise in his three starts last season, all of which were much better class contest than todays. Realt Den Chathair is beginning to look exposed and Mickelson can be another for the Noel Meade / Nina Carberry combo.

SHAMROCK’S BETS:
NAP: Dylan Ross (Fairyhouse 2.30)
NB: Mickelson (Faiyhouse 5.20)
