LOADSA MONEY FOR SHAMROCK: Shamrock rates the Irish strong each-way contenders for the big race at Cheltenham today but his nap is at Naas.

It’s not wishful thinking. Loosen My Load is one of those rare Irish horses who prefers to escape the Irish bogs for better ground elsewhere.

I’m hoping the rain stays away and he’s got it in the big race at Cheltenham today (2.35), when he has 11lb with which to make up five lengths on the form horse of the race, Wishfull Thinking.

Loosen My Load is a tempting 19.0 on Betdaq this morning. Champion-trainer Willie Mullins’ Dorset Square (3.10)at 9.8 is also a strong place candidate.

At Naas, Quel Esprit (12.50) has to put a nightmare sequence of FFB behind him and the top one, Saludos, has a stiff task over a trip too far and with top weight.

I just wonder if the nifty front-running Foildubh can get away from them off only 10st 9lb against a duo with not much pace on a drying surface.

The nap has to be Unaccompanied (1.25), fine second in the Triumph Hurdle, and who went seriously well fresh last term. He has already had the call over Sailors Warn.

SHAMROCK’S BETS
NAP: Unaccompanied (1.25 Naas)
NEXT BEST: Foildubh (12.50 Naas)
OUTSIDERS: Loosen My Load (2.35 Cheltenham), Dorset Square (3.10 Cheltenham)
DAQ YANKEE: Unaccompanied (1.25 Naas), Foildubh (12.50 Naas), Ten Bob (3.05 Naas).
