NICE VERDICT: Shamrock got the verdict right at Dundalk last night when opposing True Verdict (evens at time of writing) as a LAY NAP and also a successful PLACE NAP.

Excelebration must be sick of the sight of Frankel and it might well affect his confidence today if he even catches a glimpse of the superstar – even though they are in different races !

Aidan O’Brien’s runner has come up short so many times against Frankel but that’s hardly a negative and he thoroughly deserved his own Group 1 success in France last time out. The Queen Elizabeth II Stakes gives him another shot a a Group 1 this afternoon at Ascot and with his proven ability on soft ground and excellent form this season will prove very hard to beat.

It will also set up the Champion Stakes perfectly – seeing the horse Frankel has clashed with so many times with this season winning 35 minutes before the legendary Frankel himself makes what is expected to be his final appearance on the racecourse. Good luck to them both.

Aidan should collect the 4.20 at Cork with Twilight Zone who showed plenty of potential on debut at Gowran Park.

SHAMROCK’S BETS:

NAP: Twilight Zone (4.20 Cork)
NEXT BEST: Excelebration (3.30 Ascot)
