DOUBLE HEADER: It’s a double header of Irish racing on Sunday with a jumps card at Cork and a mixed card at Naas. Shamrock looks at the two big races on both cards.
Cork 3:55 Follow Us On Twitter Kinsale Handicap Chase (Grade B): Norther Bay was my original selection for this race but this is now a non-runner. It leaves a very competitive of the Kinsale Chase. Free World got bogged down in the ground at Listowel last time out but back on better ground and a shorter trip is the one that catches the eye most.
Naas 3:45 Irish Stallion Farms E.B.F. Garnet Stakes (Listed): Another race that has taken a significant different shape through non runners. Manieree and Look At Me were both prominent in the betting but are now both absentees. Empowering is the one for me. The O’Brien trained runner has been tried at the highest level and is likely to be suited by a return to this distance after a spell sprinting.
