McCauley (3.10) landed his maiden Point at Loughbrickland two years ago now and had not won again until a hunter-chase in the Spring. But he has a light weight and could improve for Philip Hobbs.
Wrapitupboys (4.10) ended his time in Ireland still a maiden and Tony McCoy has deserted him today, giving claimer Aodhagan Conlon his chance.
I doubt McCoy will ruin that chance from his seat on Coach Lane, and Morestead is notoriousluy one-paced. So I go for Daneva, who likes to front-run and loves firm ground.
There’s a cat-and-mouse clash in the beginners’ chase (4.40), with Spring Moon most likely to stay upright.
