SHAMROCK OUTSIDERS OVERDUE FOR A WIN: With the current daily sequence WON 20-1, WON 10-1, 2nd 12-1, 3rd 10-1 and 3rd 8-1, Shamrock reckons he’s overdue a win with his Outsider bet. He fancies one today at 25.0 on Betdaq.

Find the Lady! If Jacksonslady (6.00) can win over 1m 7f on the Flat, the mare must be crying out for today’s 20 furlongs at Roscommon. Yet Ruby Walsh’s mount was able to score over the minimum at Down Royal.

Fuschia Belle has done nothing wrong in winning a bumper and a novice hurdle already over trips similar to today’s and, as a Presenting, should not run out of stamina but Ruby rates Jacksonslady a little bit special and Fuschia Belle is expected to give him a lead.

’Shark’ Hanlon has taken over Charles Byrne’s Kerry National winner, Alfa Beat (7.00), and I think we’ll see him at Galway after this second run over hurdles.

I shall side with Gala Dancer, who was well backed to score at Bellewstown after good efforts in strong handicaps at listowel and Killarney.

Patrick Martin is in excellent form – current figures 100110203 – and Sister Steve (7.30) is in poor company for her first handicap: a must for my Outsider bet at 25.0.

Paul Nolan has won the ladies’ bumper (8.30) twice from three runners and seems to have saved up Latest Fashion, a well-related sort.

It will be a bit of a shock if Paudi The Punter (9.00), a Classic Cliché gelding, doesn’t win the getting-out stakes for Conor O’Dwyer.
