RED MILLS DAY: A cracking card at Gowran Park this afternoon with SHAMROCK’S NAP running in the feature Grade 2 Red Mills Chase at 2pm.
Testing ground at Gowran this afternoon but that should prove ideal for Presenting Percy in the feature Red Mills Chase at 2.00.
The seven-year-old has been well backed both this afternoon and for his big race target – the RSA at the Cheltenham Festival and should take this decent prize en route.
He was a winner of the Galmoy Hurdle here last time (also in deep ground) which was over three miles but distances, ground, chase and hurdles all seem to come alike to him – the sign of a very good horse indeed.
Two starts ago he was winning over 3m 5f over fences at Fairyhouse !!
Ballycasey saves his best form for Gowran Park and won this last year whilst Our Duke remains a watching brief for me until he returns to something like his best form.
