AIDAN SETS PUZZLE IN BALLYSAX: Aidan O’Brien has three of the five runners in this afternoon’s Group Ballysax Stakes at Leopardstown but which one will come out on top?
It’s an Aidan O’Brien domination in the Group 3 Ballysax Stakes at Leopardstown this afternoon with the master of Ballydoyle having the first three in the betting in the five runner contest!
All three of his runners are making their seasonal reappearances and the official ratings and jockey booking point narrowly towards The Pentagon who is partnered by Ryan Moore.
He raced four times as a two-year-old, winning twice including a Group 3 here at Leopardstown and finished with a very creditable third in the Group 1 Racing Post Trophy at Doncaster behind stable companion Saxon Warrior.
The concern would be that he has no experience on testing ground like this and for that reason alone I am going to side with stable companion Delano Roosevelt who was second in a Group 2 at Naas on soft ground and has also been popular in the market this morning.
