NAAS NAP: SHAMROCK stays at home in Ireland today for his NAP running in the 4.40 at Naas.

Good luck to the Irish challenge at Epsom this afternoon which looks strong with Aidan O’Brien’s Love heading the BETDAQ market for the Oaks at 3.40pm and Russian Emperor looking the best of Aidan’s runners in the Derby at 4.55pm where the home challenge looks strong with Kameko and English King heading the market.

I’m staying at Naas for my Saturday NAP – Lough Cutra running in the one mile handicap at 4.40pm.

The Ger Lyons trained runner makes his handicap debut here after three reasonable runs in maidens, including over course and distance two starts ago when he was a close third to the aforementioned Russian Emperor – who is single figure odds for the Derby !!

It was a good effort – even though the form shouldn’t probably be taken too literally. It was disappointing though that Lough Cutra couldn’t build on that last time out at Leopardstown when an odds-on runner-up to Numen but the 10 furlong trip looked to stretch him and hopefully the drop back will help.
