SENSATIONAL SHAMROCK NOW SIX NAPS IN-A-ROW: SHAMROCK made it SIX WINNING NAPS IN A ROW with Wounded Warrior (NAP) WON 4/6 at Navan yesterday. It’s also 8 winning naps from the last 9 from the man in form.

THE SENSATIONAL SIX. It’s now SIX NAPS IN-A-ROW:

Sat 7 Dec: Vautour (NAP) WON 1/2
Sun 8 Dec: Twinlight (NAP) WON 9/10
Wed 11 Dec: Henson (NAP) LOST
Thu 12 Dec: Wicklow Gold (NAP) WON 5/4
Fri 13 Dec: Rasco (NAP) WON 9/4
Sat 14 Dec: Mozoltov (NAP) WON 1/2
Sun 15 Dec: Briar Hill (NAP) WON 1/4
Fri 20 Dec: Vector Force (NAP) WON 4/6
Sat 21 Dec: Wounded Warrior (NAP) WON 4/6

It’s the last racing day before Christmas so I am hoping I will go into the Festive break with the NAPS sequence paused – but still intact.

Wounded Warrior obliged yesterday – splashing through the mud in the final race at Navan.

Now for number seven and we head to Thurles !!

Just like yesterday there is a Mullins tempter at prohibitive odds – and it does get tempting when you are on a roll but Champion Hurdle prospect Un De Sceaux in the three runner 1.20 gets little more back than betting a non runner at around 1.07 !!!

I am going to side with Willie Mullins – but not without a degree of apprehension. Urano has form figures of 222-22 since arriving from France with winning form and worryingly his last three defeats have come at 1/2, 1/3 and 4/7.

So why nap him today ? Firstly this is a weak contest, but mainly because he is being stepped up significantly in trip which could be the key. You can only really back a horse with this profile on the basis of something changing dramatically.

Main danger Thunder And Roses is also stepped up in distance but I’m less convinced about this one’s chances on the formbook.

SHAMROCK’S BETS:
NAP: Urano (2.50 Thurles)
