KILBEGGAN CALLED OFF: Today’s card at Kilbeggan has been called off due to a burst water main but racing goes ahead on the flat at Listowel.

Today’s card at Kilbeggan has been called off due to a burst water main.

A statement from the track’s managing director Paddy Duncan said: “It is with deep regret that I announce that Kilbeggan races have been called off today due to a burst water main which has left the racecourse with no water.

“My sincere apologies for any inconvenience caused.”

Racing does go ahead at Listowel where there is a seven race flat card starting at 2.10pm.

Aidan O’Brien should strike in the opening six furlong maiden with Coral Beach who was a close up third last time out.

She is fancied to finish in front of Mintd today who was second at Naas, a half length in front of Coral Beach who was tardy away from the stalls on her debut.

Coral Beach should gain revenge today and record a first win.
