DESTINATION NAAS: SHAMROCK looks ahead to the featured Grade 1 Lawlor’s Of Naas Novice Hurdle this afternoon.

Just the one card on Sunday at Naas but it looks to be a cracker with the feature being the Lawlor’s Of Naas Novice Hurdle at 1.45pm.

I have to be with the favourite here Next Destination and I see no reason why he shouldn’t confirm Navan superiority over Cracking Smart and Jetz who he beat by five and half lengths and 7 1/14 lengths respectively in the Navan Novice Hurdle – a Grade 2. Over the same trip today, similar ground and on the same weights surely that form will be confirmed?

I think the danger will come from the Joseph O’Brien trained Speak Easy who won his maiden at Navan in great style by six lengths. There’s every chance of further improvement, which of course there needs to be at this level.

I’m looking forward to seeing the Irish debut of Demi Sang in the novice chase at 1.15pm. The Willie Mullins trained runner looked impressive when winning in France and faces rivals with a little to prove after their latest runs.

SHAMROCK’S BETS:
NAP: Next Destination (1.45 Naas)
NEXT BEST: Demi Sang (1.15 Naas)
