NAPS SEQUENCE ENDS AT EIGHT: SHAMROCK’s run of NAPS came to an end at Dundalk when his selection was beaten 1/2 length. Today’s NAP runs at Naas.

It’s finished on EIGHT WINNING NAPS IN A ROW – unfortunately Fujaira King let me down on Friday finishing second – beaten just half a length.

Thu: PEACEFUL (NAP) WON 8/11
Wed: DEGRAVES (NAP) WON 13/8
Sun: MAKE A CHALLENGE (NAP) WON 9/4
Mon: ARTHUR’S KINGDOM (NAP) WON 11/10
Tue: A WAVE OF THE SEA (NAP) WON 4/5
Wed: FANTASIO D’ALENE (NAP) WON 8/15
Thu: ENVOL PIERJI (NAP) WON 2/5

Naas and Cork race on Sunday in Ireland.

My best bet runs at Naas in the opener at 1.15pm.

Johan Zoffani and Hong Kong are two last time out beaten favourites who should dominate this six furlong race and preference is for the former.

Johan Zoffani hasn’t done a lot wrong and with a little more luck could now be unbeaten in two starts. He was beaten a head over course and distance on good ground on his debut last month and followed that up with a solid effort at The Curragh when a three quarters of a length second to Champers Elysees on heavy ground. It’s testing conditions again today which he should relish.

Aidan O’Brien is fitting first time blinkers to Hong Kong after his Limerick second last time out but the drop back in trip and testing ground are not obvious positives for this son of American Pharaoh.

SHAMROCK’S BETS:
NAP: Johan Zoffani (1.15 Naas)
