GRADE 1 ACTION AT NAAS: The feature race on Sunday’s card is the Lawlor’s Hotel Novice Hurdle at 1.50pm.

There are three certainties in life, death, tax and (combining the two) Death Duty in the 1.50 at Naas this afternoon.

‘Certainty’ is a little too strong in his case – but the argument for backing him, even at short odds, is pretty irresistible.

The Gordon Elliott trained runner won two of his four bumpers but has really excelled this season over the jumps winning all three of his starts in impressive fashion and stepped up in class to win the Grade 2 Navan Novice Hurdle last time out.

Again, he gets the soft ground he seems to relish and he might find his biggest rival is his stable companion Blood Crazed Tiger who is chasing a five-timer but stepping up in class.
