NAVAN NAP: SHAMROCK saves his NAP for the last race on Ladbrokes Troytown Day at Navan.

Plenty of short priced favourites on the card but that’s certainly not the case in the closing Navanracecourse.ie Handicap Hurdle on Ladbrokes Troytown Day.

The BETDAQ Betting Exchange is struggling to find a favourite but I am keen on the chances of Multifactorial to provide Gordon Elliott with another winner.

He has proved quite popular in the betting today.

The six-year-old partnered by Conor Orr is making his handicap debut here and doesn’t look too harshly treated. He shaped well enough on his reappearance at Tramore when fifth in a maiden hurdle and should come on plenty for that run.

The obvious danger has to be King Alex who made all to win a maiden hurdle at Ballinrobe on similar testing ground. It didn’t look much of a contest but he couldn’t have done it much more impressively and should only improve. He didn’t show much in two starts over fences and seems to prefer the smaller obstacles.

SHAMROCK’S BET:
NAP: Multifactorial (3.50 Navan)
