VANISHING LOOKS CLONMEL BANKER: SHAMROCK’s NAP of the day runs in the 7.00 at Clonmel tonight.
Clonmel jumps card tonight and I’m relying on Gordon Elliott for the best bet on the card.
His Vanishing Point looks a good thing in the maiden hurdle at 7.00. The four-year-old was a winner on the flat when trained by Andrew Balding and has run well on both starts for Elliott – finishing second in big fields on both occasions.
He was no match for Ornua at Down Royal last time out but that winner looked above average and Vanishing Point had plenty in hand on the rest of the field.
Also, Ornua runs in the 6.00 race tonight so we’ll get a very timely pointer on how strong that Down Royal form is.
Conna Cross has some good placed form and came closest to winning at Cork last time out but is completely unproven on the faster surface he encounters tonight. If handling it, he will be the biggest danger to the selection.
