CURRAGH NAP: SHAMROCK’S NAP on Thursday runs in the Listed Waterford Testimonial Stakes at 1.35pm.
Make A Challenge has drifted this morning on the BETDAQ BETTING EXCHANGE but still should prove the answer to the Listed Waterford Testimonial Stakes – 1.35pm at the Curragh this afternoon.
The Denis Hogan trained runner is consistent at Listed level and was a convincing winner of this 12 months ago when he beat his joint favourite Downforce by 4 1/2 lengths. He again gets the testing ground.
He’s been tried at Group 1 level in his last two races which proved a bridge too far including in the Prix de l’Abbaye at Longchamp where he could never get competitive. Interestingly, he was as short as a 4/1 chance for that prestigious race which makes today’s odds-against look tempting given he is several tiers lower down the class ladder.
Lustown Baba is in top form but not so much her trainer. She stormed home to win a handicap over course and distance last time out but this will be a much tougher ask.
