Ancestral is totally unproven on the ground and might be worth taking on in the fillies maiden at 3.15.
She made a good debut at the Curragh but didn’t really build on that at Roscommon last time out when a beaten favourite over 10 furlongs. The step back in trip may help – but she’s far too short for me here.
I may have to temporarily borrow a DAQMAN staking strategy for this race – a DOUBLE WHAMMY – laying and backing in the same race.
Ancestral has to be the lay at 2.76 on BETDAQ at the time of writing with a tentative back on Quinns Red Rose who at least we know handles testing conditions judged on her Galway form.
Handling the ground could be worth everything in this quagmire.
