ROYAL ASCOT NAP: SHAMROCK heads to Royal Ascot for his first bet of the week there on Thursday. Yesterday’s Wexford NAP Cash Me Outside WON 4/7.

Yesterday’s NAP Cash Me Outside was backed as if defeat was out of the question and whilst it won by half a length it was hardly a comfortable ride for backers and it was getting a little desperate close home !!

I’m heading to Royal Ascot for my first bet of the week there today.

I’ve got to be with Sunday Sovereign in the opener. Although the weather is at last on the improve, the ground remains soft and it will take a few hours of sunshine to start changing that.

The soft ground will suit Sunday Sovereign who couldn’t have been more impressive last time out at Tipperary when winning by seven lengths on soft ground in the style of a very good horse.

As good a performance as that was, the stand out form is really his previous win over Arizona at the Curragh with the runner-up giving the form a timely boost this week when winning the Coventry.

Obviously Sunday Sovereign still needs to prove himself at this level but there must be every chance he will and he has been very strong so far today on BETDAQ – in fact is the top positive of the day.
