IRISH RACING BACK AND RUBY’S BACK AT THURLES: After the weather enforced break, Irish racing returns at Thurles this afternoon with a seven race card. Ruby Walsh is back from injury and has one ride on the card.

It’s been a while! We’re back in action on Ireland today at Thurles with not a bad card at all staged on soft to heavy ground.

Big talking point is the return from injury of Ruby Walsh who has one ride on the card – Lareena in the 19 runner maiden hurdle at 3.15pm.

It could easily be a winning return too as Lareena has improved with each start since arriving from France and ran her best race yet in Fairyhouse last time out when a three quarters of a length second to Lackaneen Leader (pair finished well clear).

That was a mares only race though and this does look more competitive. Savannah Storm makes his jumping debut for Gordon Elliott and was placed in Listed company on the flat.

Awayinthewest also brings a fair level of form to the table and might just be the value.
