TRAMORE ON THURSDAY: Irish racing resumes at Tramore with the course staging a seven race card on expected heavy ground.

It feels a lot longer than the weekend since we’ve had some racing but at least Tramore has survived the elements today.

Kamil is my best bet of the day in the maiden hurdle over 2m 5f at 1.30pm.

The Noel Meade trained runner showed more than enough on his Punchestown debut when fifth to Burrows Saint to suggest he is capable of landing this moderate event.

He was a 33/1 shot at Punchestown but belied those odds with a good run in what looked an above average contest.

Today’s chief market rival is the Henry de Bromhead trained Kilbrew Gold. Although he was third at Thurles last time out, he was beaten 29 lengths and I much prefer the Punchestown form of Kamil.

NAP: Kamil (1.30 Tramore)
