CHELTENHAM DAY ONE: SHAMROCK’S DAY ONE NAP at Cheltenham runs in the 4.10pm.

Willie Mullins and Ruby Walsh got the Festival off to a great start with Klassical Dream’s easy success in the opener on ground that looks to be getting more testing by the minute.

The combination look set to strike again in the OLBG Mares’ Hurdle at 4.10pm with Benie Des Dieux who relished the heavy ground when winning this 12 months ago.

She went on to win the Annie Power Mares Champion Hurdle at Punchestown where the mighty Apple’s Jade was back in third and hasn’t been seen since.

Mullins has a truly astonishing 9/10 recent record in this race with only Apple’s Jade herself spoiling the sequence when winning for Gordon Elliott in 2017.

If she’s anywhere near that level of form she should land this comfortably and reward BETDAQ backers at around the 2.2 level at the time of writing.

NAP: Benie De Dieux (4.10 Cheltenham)
