ROSCOMMON JUMPS: SHAMROCK heads to Roscommon for tonight’s jumps card and takes a look at the decent novice hurdle at 7pm.

There’s an interesting novice hurdle at Roscommon tonight with five of the seven runners last time out winners.

Market leader is Canardier who was a very easy winner at Down Royal last time out and now takes a step-up in both class and distance. He did finish third over this trip at Christmas so shouldn’t be inconvenienced.

Willie Mullins has a big rival though in the shape of Causey Arch who has made a good start to his jumping career. He won twice on the flat when trained by Michael Dods and won a similar race at Sligo last time out beating Uisce Beatha.

However, the Joseph O’Brien trained Uisce Beatha has a 5lb pull at the weights and that might be enough to make the difference.

Eamon High is progressive but had a tough race at Killarney last time out when prevailing by a nose.

SHAMROCK’S BETS:
NAP: Uisce Beatha (7.00 Roscommon)
