JUMPING AT ROSCOMMON: SHAMROCK looks ahead to tonight’s card at Roscommon where his best bet on the card runs in the closing bumper at 8.50.
I’m taking a chance tonight in the closing bumper that the horse with good recent experience proves too strong for some interesting debutants.
Gateway To Europe ran a much improved race at Kilbeggan last time out to finish second to Under Surveillance and he seemed to relish the quicker ground.
Of those that have run, he is a strong contender but preference is for Pilot Station who travelled well in a much better race at Punchestown last time out and despite finishing seventh was only beaten six lengths.
With Patrick Mullins riding the combination have a much better chance than Pilor Stations form figures would originally suggest.
