SLIGO NAP: SHAMROCK heads to Sligo on Tuesday for his best bet of the day running in the maiden at 8.30pm.
An interesting conundrum for the maiden at Sligo tonight which brings together some horses who have made promising starts to their careers.
Preference is for the Joseph O’Brien trained A Wave Of The Sea who only went down by half a length on debut at Dundalk behind two dead-heaters and should come on plenty for that spin.
Mick Halford runs two in the race, the smartly bred debutant Lalipour and Alakahan who made a promising start to his career when fifth at Cork.
Small Town Boy was a 33/1 second at Limerick last time out on soft ground but whether he can reproduce that kind of form on quicker ground and a much longer trip remains to be seen.
