SLIGO NAP: SHAMROCK stays at home on Tuesday for a NAP at Sligo in the 7.40 race.

Good luck to the Irish challenge at Royal Ascot this week. I’ve a couple sorted out for later in the week but for today I’m staying at home for a NAP at Sligo tonight.

The Dermot Weld trained Third World looks a very solid bet in the 7.40pm.

If the official ratings are to be believed he should win by 20 lengths – but of course it’s never as simple as that !!!

He is rated a stone and more superior to his three rivals here and Weld appears to have found the ideal opportunity for him to get his career back on track.

He has been disappointing in his last couple of races – beaten an aggregate of around 35 lengths but it looks to be no more than his handicap mark being too high at a current 83.

Ideal Pal looks the danger after he won a Cork handicap with plenty in hand last time out and the extra distance here shouldn’t prove a problem.
