MONDAY NAP WINS: SHAMROCK started the week with a winning NAP. Up Helly Aa WON 4/6 at Gowran Park.

A good start to the week when the Monday NAP Up Helly Aa won in good style at Gowran Park on Monday at 4/6.

Tipperary stage an eight race card at Tipperary this evening, underway at 5.30pm and on good ground (good to firm in places).

The shape of the sprint maiden at 7.00 has changed quite significantly with the news that Captainofthebounty is a non runner.

The defection of the Aidan O’Brien trained runner might now leave the door open for Mistress Of Venice.

The Kevin Condon trained runner has a touch of class as she showed when finishing a 66/1 fourth to Different League in the Group 3 Albany Stakes at Royal Ascot in 2017 when trained by James Given and despite some close efforts since it’s surprising and disappointing that she remains a maiden.

She’s run well in her two starts for her new stable however and had a tough task at Dundalk last time out when trying to give 6lb to the Aidan O’Brien trained Empire State but still ran well in second and finished 10 lengths clear of the third home.

She is preferred to the Joseph O’Brien trained Royal Court who has had even more chances without success and is a frustrating project for backers.
