LISTED ACTION AT CORK: SHAMROCK looks ahead to the Listed Navigation Stakes at Cork this afternoon.

No Brendan Brackan in this year’s renewal of the Navigation Stakes. He’s won the last three renewals but there will be a new name on the trophy.

That name may well turn out to be trained by Joseph O’Brien as he is responsible for three of the eight runners including Ship Of Dreams who deserves to win a prize like this after some good placed efforts in much better contests.

It’s staggering to think she remains a maiden on the turf – her only win came at Dundalk but she has been beaten less than a length in three of her last four races – all at Listed and Group 3 level.

However, you can also argue she has had plenty of chances and is vulnerable and the Aidan O’Brien trained North Face looks a big danger. He justified favouritism with a smooth debut win at Navan.

The form doesn’t look exceptional, the runner-up won a claimer next time out but North Face will surely improve and also holds a Group 2 entry.

SHAMROCK’S BETS:
NAP: NORTH FACE (3.05 Cork)
