SOUTH PACIFIC TO HIT RIGHT NOTES: SHAMROCK’s Wednesday nap runs in the opener at Gowran Park.

Frustratingly, yesterday’s nap All The King’s Men was pipped a head by stable companion Isle Of Innisfree. Hopefully money only lent though as All The King’s Men looks a surefire winner in waiting once stepped up in trip.

There’s an eight race card at Gowran Park today starting at 4.05pm.

South Pacific should make it third time lucky in the opener. Aidan O’Brien saddles three here but it’s South Pacific, son of Galileo, who stands out having finished a neck second to Giga White over course and distance last time out.

The form of that race was given a big boost when fourth placed Trethias came out to win a Curragh maiden in good style last week.

Of those who have run, the Jessica Harrington trained Boston Bruin looks the biggest danger after his close up fourth on debut at the Curragh over six furlongs and the extra trip will suit.

There are some interesting debutants but South Pacific sets the bar quite high.
