NAVAN NAP IN FINALE: SHAMROCK’S NAP on Wednesday runs in the final race at Navan – a maiden over the 1m 5f trip.

Pienta looks worth waiting for on the Navan card today.

The four-year-old trained by Noel Meade brings both experience and good recent form to the table and his stable remain in great form with six winners in the last 14 days.

Stamina certainly won’t be a problem as he has some good jumps form to his name, including when second in a maiden hurdle at Punchestown and also ran well over hurdles here last month.

He was second to Aidan O’Brien’s King Pellinor last time out at Gowran Park and the door should finally unlock here.

The debutant from Aidan’s yard Lake McKenzie is obviously a danger and has proved fairly strong in the BETDAQ market – he’s making his debut late in the season as a three-year-old and faces a match fit rival in the shape of Pienta.

SHAMROCK’S BETS:
NAP: Pienta (5.05 Navan)
