PUNCHESTOWN DAY 2: SHAMROCK looks ahead to day two of Punchestown on Wednesday with his NAP running in the Ladbrokes Punchestown Gold Cup at 5.55.

A Willie Mullins domination on day one when the champion trainer claimed five of the eight races but the sting in the tail for most punters came in the Champion Novice Chase when his mare Colreevy dominated from pillar to post to blow the theory apart of it being a match between Envoi Allen and Monkfish.

Chacun Pour Soi was brilliant in the earlier Champion Chase whilst Echoes In Rain continues to improve and progress and is now a winner at the top level.

Another eight races on Wednesday and three Grade 1’s in a row including the Ladbrokes Punchestown Gold Cup at 5.55. This would have been a vintage renewal but for the absence of Cheltenham Gold Cup winner Minella Indo but it still looks a cracker.

Several of the horses that shone at Cheltenham ran quite flat here yesterday suggesting the season has caught up with them. The same could apply to Clan Des Obeaux and Fakir D’oudairies who ran even more recently when both were impressive winners at Aintree.

Kemboy and Al Boum Photo fought out the finish of this two years ago and the result maybe flipped with Cheltenham Gold Cup third Al Boum Photo still a relatively fresh horse this season and looks the BETDAQ BETTING EXCHANGE bet.

SHAMROCK’S BETS:
NAP: Al Boum Photo (5.55 Punchestown)
