The professional tennis tournaments being contested around the world all wrap up today, as we’ve reached the finals in Rotterdam, Memphis, Brazil, and Antwerp. After a clean sweep yesterday we hope to put the finishing touches on a very profitable week, and after careful consideration we’ve decided to roll with the following plays:

ABN AMRO World Tennis Tournament

Stan Wawrinka (2.04) vs. Tomas Berdych (1.91)

Wawrinka and Berdych will face off for the 16th time on Sunday, and the Czech (Berdych) has had a rough go of it in the previous 15 meetings, losing 10 times. However, he totally dominated Gilles Simon yesterday, losing just 3 games in the entire match, and he won this tournament last year, so he’s obviously very comfortable here. Wawrinka has had a bit of trouble in every match he’s played this week, either losing a set or having to play a tiebreaker in each round. I’ll ride with the man who seems to be playing the better tennis at the moment. Recommendation: Berdych at 1.91

ATP Memphis Open

Kei Nishikori (1.36) vs. Kevin Anderson (2.94)

Nishikori is favored here for a reason: he’s ranked 5th in the world and he’s looking for his third straight Memphis Open title. However, there have been some definite chinks in the armor over the last couple of weeks, as he’s dropped the first set in 5 of his last 6 matches. Yesterday he eked out a 5-7, 7-6 (5), 7-6 (5) win over Sam Querry and looked positively drained at the conclusion of the match. His opponent today, the young South African Anderson, has won 8 of his 11 matches in 2014 and absolutely overpowered American Donald Young in the semifinal. I’m feeling an upset here. Recommendation: Anderson at 2.94

ATP Brasil Open

Luca Vanni (5.3) vs. Pablo Cuevas (1.18)

Picking Anderson over Nishikori is one thing, but if Vanni were to beat Cuevas on the clay in Sao Paulo it would be a major upset. Of course, Vanni has proven capable this week, as he toppled hometown favorite Joao Souza 6-4, 6-7 (5), 6-4 in the semifinals despite a raucous crowd rooting for his higher-ranked opponent. However, the 149th-ranked Vanni, who had to qualify just to get into this event and has never played in an ATP final before, will likely be outclassed by clay court specialist Cuevas, who put away 6th-seeded Santiago Giraldo in straight sets yesterday. Recommendation: Cuevas at 1.18

BNP Paribas Fortis Diamond Games

Andrea Petkovic (2.16) vs. Carla Suarez Navarro (1.81)

Andrea Petkovic, you’ve made a new fan. I’ve been riding the 3rd-ranked German hard this week (minds out of the gutter, folks) and she’s come through every time despite being an underdog in each of her last two matches. She has a certain grit and determination that shines through every time you watch her play and yesterday was a typical example, as she outlasted Barbora Zahlavova Strycova 7-6 (2), 7-6 (6) in a grueling match that saw the players break each other four times in the first set alone. Navarro is playing some really clean tennis at the moment, as she’s won 6 consecutive sets and hasn’t dropped more than 3 games in any of them, but this won’t be a “clean” match, I assure you. And once Petkovic get you on her level– once she makes the match a test of toughness and will power– she’s got you beat. Bring it home for us one more time, Andrea! Recommendation: Petkovic at 2.16
