MATCH OVERVIEW:

It’s game 20 at the Indian Premier League on Tuesday as we move back to Abu Dhabi for two days. We should have an excellent match today between Mumbai Indians and Rajasthan Royals. Mumbai Indians Will be looking to continue their good run with wins against Sunrisers Hyderabad and Kings XI Punjab, while Rajasthan need to turn things around after two straight losses.

Rajasthan got off to a great start in the tournament in Sharjah, but their batting has come up short in their last two games since moving to more difficult batting conditions. They actually pulled off one of the most amazing chases in Sharjah against Kings XI Punjab, but they were poor against Royal Challengers Bangalore last time out and could only manage 137/9 against Kolkata Knight Riders in Dubai before that.

Clearly Sharjah conditions have been very different to the other two venues, and Mumbai will have to adjust from the weekend. They have been batting very well though – especially at the back end of their innings. If there’s one area that they can improve it is at the top of the order – they have been losing a wicket or two too early.

WEATHER AND PITCH WATCH:

This will be the seventh game here with the first inning scores so far reading: 162/9 (chased), 195/5 (won by 49 runs), 142/4 (chased), 162/4 (won by 15 runs), 191/4 (won by 48 runs) and 154/6 (chased).

Rajasthan played their last game here, losing badly to RCB by eight wickets. Mumbai have a lot of experience here having played three games – they actually have the two biggest wins here as they have scores 195/5 and 191/4 batting first. Once again thankfully the weather is set fair.

RECOMMENDED BET:

Rajasthan started the tournament well but they have been poor in their last two games and that’s what I’m happy to focus on. With the conditions in Sharjah, it’s pretty easy for a lack of batting talent to still win given the dew and size of the boundaries. It’s outside Sharjah where we see class come through, and Rajasthan have fell well short in their batting. Mumbai have been impressively lately and defended their total nicely at the weekend. They’ve played well here too and I like them a lot at 1.71. If they bat first, I’d be happy to top up too.

The Edge Says:
Three points win Mumbai Indians to beat Rajasthan Royals at 1.71 with BETDAQ Exchange.

IN-RUNNING STRATEGY:

We’ve had a mix of scores here, so there is no clear pattern to pin an in-running strategy around. I would really like to be on Mumbai if they batted first considering how well they are batting at the moment, and you’d fancy Mumbai’s bowlers to go well against Rajasthan too.

Of course with the bigger boundaries here we should see slightly lower scores than we have had in recent days. Once again we have to watch out for dew as that changes the game so much. Keep an eye on how many and how often players are using rags. If they are using a lot of rags, it’s always a good option to look for trades on the batting side. Chasing will become easier too, so you can add a few runs to the par score.
