SOUTHAMPTON V LEICESTER

8pm After a fantastic week with the Champions League and Europa League Semi-Finals, the Premier League returns on Friday Night! Southampton host Leicester with this being an excellent chance for Leicester to really turn the screw in the race for the Top Four. They have had a slight advantage of playing on Monday night after seeing West Ham and Liverpool drop points at the weekend and now they get to go further clear and sit back to enjoy the weekend.

At the moment, it looks like Chelsea will get the final spot, but Leicester will be looking over their shoulder with Liverpool chasing and they will also remember falling out of the Top Four at the final moment last season. Liverpool have to play Manchester United on Sunday, so Leicester can go very short for the Top Four if they win here and the chasing pack drop more points. We landed our Leicester bet on Monday night on BETDAQ Betting Exchange, and we can land another Leicester bet tonight – they look excellent value at 2.16.

I wouldn’t say that Southampton have been playing particularly bad football lately, but they are on a losing run. They have only managed to beat the likes of Bournemouth and Burnley recently, and they have been conceding a lot of chances. For example they gave away an xG of 3.07 to West Brom which is very disappointing and Leicester managed to beat 1-0 in the FA Cup Semi-Final recently too.

Leicester made hard work of beating Crystal Palace on Monday night, but they still created enough to deserve to win the game. They have been pretty impressive lately – they didn’t deserve to lose against West Ham and you can forgive anyone losing to Man City at the moment. I think everything points to a Leicester win tonight – they are confident and they are creating some good figures. While Southampton are on a poor run and they are conceding a lot of chances. It might be a tight game with a one goal win in the end, but I’d have Leicester odds on here so for me they are a Max Bet at the odds – 2.16 looks excellent value.

The Striker Says:
Five points win Leicester to beat Southampton at 2.16 with BETDAQ Betting Exchange
