MANCHESTER CITY V BURNLEY

5.45pm The FA Cup Quarter-Finals kick off on with BETDAQ Betting Exchange on Saturday! We have four big home favourites this weekend, one wonders will we see any shocks! Three fixtures take place on Sunday, but we only have one game to focus on Saturday as Manchester City host Burnley. Very soon this will be called an all Premier League clash as Burnley are running away with the Championship this season. They currently have a 13 point advantage and have only lost twice all season.

Despite Burnley playing superb football in the Championship this season, Manchester City come into the tie as the heavy odds on favourites. They are trading as short as 1.22 at the time of writing, which isn’t even the shortest price of the weekend! That title goes to Brighton who are at home to Grimsby Town on Sunday. City took the headlines midweek in the Champions League with a 7-0 win over RB Leipzig – five goals for Haaland along the way – and it’s fair to say they couldn’t arrive into this fixture in better shape!

The only odd thing about the midweek game was Pep Guardiola saying he was a failure because Julia Roberts went to see Manchester United instead of City. What an odd thing to say, and I’m not even going to try make sense of that! The 1.22 on City is a little disrespectful towards Burnley considering how good they have been this season, but you have to say there is a huge gulf in class between the sides here and it’s very difficult to see past a home win.

Burnley have been creating an average xG of 1.6 in the Championship while only conceding an average of 0.9. That figure at the back is more impressive than going forward – an average of 1.6 is actually quite low given they are running away with the title. City are averaging an xG of 2.4 in the Premier League for example, and they are still five points behind Arsenal too. They have been just as solid as Burnley at the back as well. I expect City to win, but we’re going to have to look around the side markets for some value here.

It will be interesting to see what tactics Burnley approach the game with. You’d have to feel that they will sit back and try to play for a draw, but I can’t see that working. This game is basically about how many goals can City score in my opinion, and Guardiola doesn’t have any major reasons to rest players either going into an International break next week either. I like City -2 goals on the Asian Handicap market at 1.95 which is a very nice price – this allows for a void bet if they win by exactly two goals, but I expect them to cruise to another easy win this week. Even in the 1-0 win over Crystal Palace last weekend, they finished with an xG of 2.47 – they look bang in form at the moment and it’s worth supporting them to score a few goals.

The Striker Says:
Two points win Manchester City -2 goals Asian Handicap to beat Burnley at 1.95 with BETDAQ BETTING EXCHANGE.
