ENGLAND V CROATIA

2pm It’s the game we’ve all been waiting for as England start Euro 2020 on Sunday against Croatia in Wembley. With fans coming back to the stadium, we should have an excellent atmosphere and I for one can’t wait! It should be a fantastic day, and a very interesting one from a betting point of view. All three favourites trading between 1.7 and 1.75 at the moment, and with all Euro 2020 matches 0% Commission on BETDAQ Betting Exchange we should have a very busy day ahead. England will have home advantage in all their Group games which is an obvious advantage, however this is a tough start to the competition – Croatia beat them in the Semi-Final of the last World Cup. It’s fair to say England have improved since that tournament, and they have a fantastic Group of young players heading into the tournament. England fans can rightly be excited!

As I said above, this is a massive game for England as it’s their toughest opponent in Group D. They should easily beat Scotland and Czech Republic. Croatia had some difficult moments in qualifying, but they topped their Group which involved Wales, Slovakia and Hungary – solid sides but nothing more. They then had a very poor Nations League where they lost five of their six games. They were in a Group with France, Portugal and Sweden. Their key man is obviously Luka Modic, but he has just had a tough year with Real Madrid and he is also getting older – I’m not sure he can deliver the same performances as the World Cup. England have a hugely exciting side, but they do lack major tournament experience and have a lot of pressure from their home media. They should beat Croatia, but I’m not going to have a large bet on them at 1.7 – I feel three points is the perfect stake as I’m confident they beat this Croatia side but I also want to see England perform under pressure before fully committing to them. You have to say, this is a fascinating match.

The Ultra Says:
Three points win England to beat Croatia at 1.7 with BETDAQ Exchange.

AUSTRIA V NORTH MACEDONIA

5pm With England playing in the early game and the Netherlands playing in the late game, many football fans might switch off for this game – but not me, I have a Max Bet as I can’t see past Austria winning here. They look massive at 1.73 to beat a very limited North Macedonia side. Austria had a superb qualifying Group – they finished second behind Poland but based on their performances and xG figures they should have topped the Group. They actually had North Macedonia in their qualifying Group, and they beat them 4-1 and 2-1. However, they created a lot more chances than the bare results – they absolutely bossed both games. Since then North Macedonia have finished second in Group C2 in the Nations League – a very limited Group with Armenia winning, Georgia and Estonia, while Austria topped their Group in B1 with Norway, Romania and Northern Ireland.

Austria will be playing their football in Group A in the Nations League in the future, and they should really beat North Macedonia. They have had a quiet build-up to the tournament, drawing 0-0 with Slovakia and losing 1-0 to England, but you have to remember what kind of level North Macedonia play their football at and when you compare that to Austria – for me there’s no question of the winner here. I would have Austria under 1.6 looking at their xG figures and their recent results – they have really turned up in the competitive games and they should easily outclass this limited North Macedonia side. I would expect North Macedonia to come here to defend and hopefully get a draw, but I can’t see past the 1.73 – it offers massive value and is worth a Max Bet.

The Ultra Says:
Five points win Austria to beat North Macedonia at 1.73 with BETDAQ Exchange.

NETHERLANDS V UKRAINE

8pm Another fascinating fixture, and as I noted above, another very similar market here with Netherlands trading 1.7. After missing some major tournaments, Ronald Koeman done an amazing job to turn things around. It’s fair to say they haven’t been as good since he left for Barcelona and they have had some pretty disappointing results recently. It’s always hard to know what to make of friendly games, but they lost to Mexico late last year and draw with Scotland the other day. They have had some tough draws of late – they were in a qualifying Group with Germany and came second – although they were always going to finish first or second. And then they were in a Nations League Group with Italy, where again they finished second. Although they have been close seconds, you feel that they will come up short against the top sides later in the tournament.

This is a big game for Netherlands actually, because Austria will give them a good game later in the Group. Everyone should beat North Macedonia, so the pressure is on this fixture and a winning start. The Ukraine might have been relegated from Group A4 in the Nations League, but they are a solid side. They were in a Group with Spain, Germany and Switzerland so they were always going to be up against it, and they managed to top their Group in qualifying which included Portugal. While Netherlands have some excellent attacking players, the questions about them come at the back. I feel the 1.7 on Netherlands is just about right – I don’t want to back or lay it as it doesn’t offer much value. I can see this being an open game, as Netherlands have had a lot of goals in their recent games – they had some cracking games in qualifying too. Both Teams To Score looks the value at 2.22 as Ukraine are a rock solid side and they can take advantage of some Netherlands mistakes at the back. I wouldn’t rule out a crazy score here, and there could be a lot of value in the goal markets – but BTTS looks very attractive at odds against.

The Ultra Says:
Three points win Both Teams To Score at 2.22 with BETDAQ Exchange.
