CROATIA V SCOTLAND

8pm It’s the Final Matchday in Group D on Tuesday night and we have a fascinating night in store with all matches 0% Commission on BETDAQ Betting Exchange After England could only draw with Scotland and Croatia could only draw with Czech Republic, that has left us in a situation where all four teams have a chance to qualifying. England and Czech Republic are certain of going through because they have four points, but if Croatia or Scotland will go through with a win here because of the third place rankings. I know most people will be watching the England game, but this is actually the more important game! I was very disappointed that Croatia couldn’t beat the Czech Republic, and it was a very poor performance from them too. I felt they would win but that probably highlights they aren’t the team they once were. Scotland have home advantage too, and you know the place will be absolutely rocking.

That gives Scotland a superb chance to get through. Winning will be very difficult of course, but Scotland have given everything so far and you’d have to expect a big performance. The general feeling after the England game was that they wanted it more and worked harder. If you look at the xG figures, you will see England actually created the better chances – everyone just has higher expectations for England. Scotland have played well though – they created an xG of 2.29 against Czech Republic and were very unlucky to lose and perhaps they didn’t quite deserve a draw against England, but they worked hard for it. Croatia haven’t created much at the Euros – I gave them the benefit of the doubt as England outclassed them but Czech Republic created more than them and I definitely want to be against them here at 2.4. Scotland have worked very hard, and with Croatia struggling to create chances I can’t have them as short as 2.4.

The Ultra Says:
Three points lay (liability) Croatia to beat Scotland at 2.4 with BETDAQ Exchange..

CZECH REPUBLIC V ENGLAND

8pm As I above, most football fans will be tuning in for this game even though both sides have already qualified, that’s just the attention the England side bring. Czech Republic managed to beat England 2-1 in qualifying, but England did hammer them 5-0 when they had home advantage. We’ve seen enough of these two playing to know England are the better side, and I would have England shorter than the 1.63 currently on offer. England come into the game in second however behind the Czech Republic, and they will be wary that the third place side couldhave to face a side like Belgium next – so they need a result. The runner-up has to face the second place team in Group E, which is completely up in the air with Spain in third going into the final round of games there. While the winner plays the runner up in Group F, which is either going to be one of France, Germany or Portugal. So choose the best option there! In my view teams don’t really play enough tactics in situations like this – most traders and gamblers would!

I have to say, my plan would be to draw here and finish second. You run the risk of conceding a late goal and losing of course, which is why most sides opt to not get tactical in these situations, but second place looks the best option – you would then have to play the winner of Group F (France/Germany/Portugal) if you got through, but you’ll have to play one of them anyway and be further into the tournament plus have the added advantage of a shock result for them in the Last 16. Spain play Slovakia on the final day of the Group, but also Sweden could beat Poland and you still end up facing Spain. I do fancy England here at 1.63, and given they could end up facing Spain if they are second I think they’ll aim to top the Group rather than take a chance on Poland getting a result against Sweden. What a tricky draw for England though! They could have played better against Scotland last time out, but they actually created more. They controlled the game against Croatia and Czech Republic conceded a big xG to Scotland. Everything points to an England win here and I’m happy to back them – if Group E was settled before Group D and a draw was a better result I would think twice, but England won’t take any chances – they have to just go and top this Group and worry about the rest later.
