AC MILAN V ATALANTA

8.45pm Friday Night Football comes from Serie A this week with AC Milan hosting Atalanta. This should be a cracker with both teams in good form and finishing the season strongly. AC Milan have won five of their last six, while Atalanta come here having won four of their last six. Atalanta are deservedly favourites as they chase Juventus in vein and are 15 points ahead of AC Milan in the Serie A table.

The one thing you can say about AC Milan is that their games are exciting. Their last seven games have seen over 2.5 goals – indeed only one fixture has seen under 2.5 goals win since they returned from lockdown. We’ve seen some wild scores too; 5-1, 2-2, 4-2 etc! They are a wonderful team to watch for the neutral. It’s hard not to see goals here, but over 2.5 goals is priced well at 1.49. That’s a pretty fair price.

Atalanta come into the game in very good form, and I like them at 2.26 to win. While their games have seen goals too – what can win the game here is their defence. They have been a lot more solid than AC Milan, but they aren’t lacking going forward either. Other than away to Juventus, they have been consistently creating chances and while AC Milan have been scoring – they are also giving away a lot of chances.

In AC Milan’s last five they have given up an xG of; 1.21, 0.35, 0.93, 1.75 and 1.59. Apart from Bologna they have been leaky at the back and in a game where we will see a host of chances – it is the best defence that wins. For me that’s Atalanta by a distance and they should be able to outscore this AC Milan side.

The Ultra Says:
Two points win Atalanta to beat AC Milan at 2.26 with BETDAQ Exchange.
