FRIDAY NIGHT IN EUROPE: Our European football tipster The Ultra previews Friday’s top European action with recommended BETDAQ bets. It’s GLADBACH V BAYERN MUNICH and VALENCIA V GETAFE.

GLADBACH V BAYERN MUNICH

7.30pm European football is back! We start the new season with our traditional Friday night action on BETDAQ Betting Exchange with one game from the Bundesliga and one from La Liga. We actually start the Bundesliga with a cracker as Gladbach host Bayern Munich. Gladbach had their worst season for a few years last season when they finished down in 8th, while Bayern lifted the title and will be expected to do so this year too. Dortmund, and possibly only RB Leipzig, are the only sides who can stop Bayern and it’s very difficult to see that happening. All we can hope for in a close title race – but Bayern should win. As this is the first weekend in the Bundesliga, it’s hard to know what to expect goals wise but we generally see a huge amount of goals in the Bundesliga!

The market is expecting plenty of goals here too judging by the markets. And Bayern did open last season with eight goals against Schalke! Obviously Gladbach didn’t have a good season last season, so when you look at their xG figures towards the end of the season it’s not surprising to see them a little lower than expected. Looking through the markets here, it’s very hard to see a better value bet than Bayern at 1.57. The goals market looks very well priced, and Bayern look a much better side than Gladbach. I’m happy to keep stakes reasonably low because it’s the first weekend, but this should be one way traffic.

The Ultra Says:
Two points win Bayern Munich to beat Gladbach at 1.57 with BETDAQ Exchange.

VALENCIA V GETAFE

8pm Next we kick off La Liga with Valencia hosting Getafe! La Liga has been in the news lately with Messi leaving Barcelona due to financial issues – that has mainly been driven by La Liga, however you have to say Barcelona have been very poorly managed. These two won’t be thinking about Barcelona anyway, and we should have a very competitive game here to open the season. These two finished in 8th and 9th in the 2019/20 season, with only one point between them. However, they both dramatically went backwards last season with Getafe finishing in 15th and Valencia five points ahead of them in 13th. The relegation battle was quite open last season, so you couldn’t suggest neither were involved, however either were never in any major danger. Getafe lost their last three games of the season too.

You’d imagine both sides will be down towards the bottom again, but I can’t see either getting relegated. Valencia changed a huge amount prior to last season, so you could see them improve a lot from their position last season. It’s not a surprise to see a pretty open market here, but Valencia are rightfully favourites. Getafe haven’t changed a huge amount in their squad, and I’m confident Valencia will win here. I think they did very well last season given all the changes they made, and although I’m happy to again limit stakes because it’s the first weekend – Valencia are worth backing at 2.52.

The Ultra Says:
Two points win Valencia to beat Getafe at 2.52 with BETDAQ Exchange.
