BUNDESLIGA/LA LIGA FRIDAY: The Ultra previews RB LEIPZIG v STUTTGART and ALMERIA v ESPANYOL both with a recommended BETDAQ bet.

RB LEIPZIG V STUTTGART

7.30pm We’re back with our usual Friday night football slot from Europe on BETDAQ Betting Exchange with one game from the Bundesliga and one from La Liga! We start the evening in the Bundesliga as RB Leipzig host Stuttgart. It’s been a busy return to action for the Bundesliga clubs as they resumed their season last weekend and then also had a full fixture list midweek. It’s been a good return for RB Leipzig as they bagged a 1-1 draw against Bayern Munich and then hammered Schalke 6-1. Obviously they’ll be full of confidence after scoring six goals midweek, but we have to remember that Schalke are nailed to the bottom of the table at the moment. Stuttgart have recorded two draws in their two games back, the swings in luck of football were on display as they deserved to win at the weekend against Mainz, but then deserved to lose midweek against Hoffenheim. Stuttgart are definitely under pressure in the relegation battle as they season resumes, but whether or not they stay up won’t be decided on fixtures away to the likes of RB Leipzig!

The markets is pretty confident on the home win here with RB Leipzig trading 1.5 at the time of writing. Leipzig went into the World Cup in great form, and they have started their season again with a bang so I believe there’s still value in the 1.5. Although Stuttgart are sitting down in the relegation battle, their under-lining numbers aren’t too bad compared to other sides around them. They like to play an open game, marginally conceding more chances than they are creating. They’re still conceding an average xG of 1.5 per game in the Bundesliga this season – when you compare that to RB Leipzig creating an average of 2.0, I believe there’s only one winner here. Although I believe the 1.5 offers good value on RB Leipzig to win, Over 2.5 goals looks a cracking bet at 1.69. Both sides like to play an open game here, and I can’t see Stuttgart sitting back either – I feel we’ll see a very end-to-end and open game here with plenty of chances. I couldn’t put anyone off RB Leipzig at 1.5, but Over 2.5 goals looks a very nice bet at 1.69.

The Ultra Says:
Four points win Over 2.5 goals at 1.69 with BETDAQ BETTING EXCHANGE.

ALMERIA V ESPANYOL

8pm We move over to La Liga to finish Friday night football as Almeria host Espanyol. While you would call this a relegation battle, both sides aren’t too far away from the danger zone. Sevilla jumped out of the relegation zone with a win last weekend, and you’d expect them to keep moving up the table as the season goes on. Almeria and Espanyol start the weekend sitting in 13th and 14th – Espanyol are three points off the bottom three and Almeria are two. They have a few sides between themselves and the bottom three so they don’t need to worry too much, but they are in the mix and with a few losses back-to-back they could find themselves in trouble. Espanyol are too good for a relegation battle, but you’d have to feel that Almeria will be in the mix at some stage. When you look at the situation, you can see this is a massive game for both sides – it might not be the most glamorous fixture around Europe this weekend, but the loser is going to be under big pressure going forward. Almeria have yet to win since resuming their season after the World Cup, but they did pick up a point here against Atletico Madrid so this won’t be an easy task for Espanyol.

The market agrees with that statement, and even has Almeria favourites at the time of writing. I’m not sure I agree with that, but the home side are trading 2.6 with Espanyol 3.05. It’s not a surprise that we have a very open market for this one, and indeed there won’t be much between the sides. Espanyol come into the game in good form off the back of two wins – they played very well last weekend in a 1-0 win over Real Betis which was impressive and that followed on from a hard fought win over Getafe. Although they were totally outplayed away from home, they also picked up a point at Barcelona which is no mean feat! Espanyol have actually picked up more points away from home compared to at home this season. That’s balance by how strong Almeria have been here – they have only managed three points away, so the other 16 have come at home which is obviously impressive. I feel we’ll see a very close game here, and I disagree with Almeria being clear favourites I would have the sides priced closer together. I believe that offers some value on the draw price at 3.35 and I’m happy to opt for a small investment on that.

The Ultra Says:
One point win Draw at 3.35 with BETDAQ BETTING EXCHANGE.
