ROMANIA V NORTHERN IRELAND

7.45pm Northern Ireland meet Romania as we kick off the second day of Nations League action this week. Northern Ireland were given a nightmare draw in Euro 2021 qualifying as they had Germany and Netherlands in their Group. They performed very well, although obviously not up to the standard of the top two, to manage a Playoff and they will be hoping to use the Nations League to have the squad spot on for that. Although they can’t afford to drop down to League C.

Romania will give them a very tough challenge. They were very competitive in Euro 2021 qualifying in a Group with Spain, Sweden and Norway, along with the Faroe Islands and Malta. They managed to take points off Norway twice, and performed pretty well. The same can said about their last Nations League performance and they managed to move up from League C to League B this year. Northern Ireland are a lot better at home compared to away and I like the Romania win here at 2.34. They have enough quality to beat this Northern Irish side who have lost all their Nations League games so far.

The Ultra Says:
One point win Romania to beat Northern Ireland at 2.34 with BETDAQ Exchange.

SCOTLAND V ISRAEL

7.45pm Scotland and Israel would be best friends by now if they didn’t have to beat each other. They found themselves in the same Group in the last Nations League and both got promoted together, and now they meet again! Not only that, they will face off against each other in a Euro 2021 playoff later in the year too. This fixture is massive for many reasons. For one, you clearly want to have a mental edge heading into the playoff, and secondly this is a very tough Group with Czech Republic hot favourites to win it. Not being relegated will be the aim for both these sides so a win for either is clearly massive.

Naturally there’s plenty of recent form, and both sides will know each other very well. Ever better by the end of the year! Scotland won their home leg 3-2, while Israel won 2-1 when they had home advantage. There isn’t much between the sides, and although Scotland having home advantage is an important factor I don’t think they should be odds on. We’ve seen enough of these teams to know that it will be a close affair and from a value point of view I’m happy to lay Scotland at 1.91.

The Ultra Says:
One point lay (liability) Scotland at 1.91 with BETDAQ Exchange.
