FRIDAY LA LIGA: The Ultra previews Friday’s match between REAL MADRID v REAL BETIS including a recommended BETDAQ bet.

REAL MADRID V REAL BETIS

8pm We have a huge weekend around Europe on BETDAQ Betting Exchange this week as the domestic season comes to an end. We start the weekend with a party in Madrid as Real Madrid host Real Betis. Although Real Madrid will be in a party mood here as they get the La Liga title, if Real Betis can win they will join Sevilla on 67 points and go into the top four on goal difference. That would put huge pressure on Sevilla on Sunday, and although they would only need a draw they have a reasonably difficult fixture at home to Athletic Bilbao.

Real Betis would love to ruin the party here! Although Real Madrid will want to finish the season on a high in front of their own fans, the result isn’t important for them here. The title is already won, and all their focus must be on the Champions League Final next Saturday. I would watch for any team news very closely here – I can’t see Real taking a chance with any players who have small niggles or are just in need of a rest in general. There is a nice gap to the Champions League Final next week, however we saw a huge amount of changes to the Liverpool squad against Aston Villa this week with the Champions League Final in mind. I know Liverpool have a busier fixture list and had a tough FA Cup Final, but even so the team news can easily move the market a lot here.

Whatever the result here, Real Betis have to be delighted with their season. They lifted the Copa Del Rey trophy and they challenged for a top four spot. It was always unlikely that they could break the top four in La Liga, but they have given it a very good go. If they can win here and put pressure on Sevilla going into their final match it would cap a fantastic season. Although Real Madrid turned on the style here winning 6-0 against Levante, they failed to beat Cadiz and were totally outplayed by Atletico Madrid since reaching the Champions League Final and winning La Liga.

It’s worth noting their best performance came at home where their fans won’t accept anything less than 100% while their two games when they lost points came away from home. That has to be a factor here, but I’m still happy to lay the home win at 1.76 here. I fully expect a closer game than those odds suggest. Real Betis need to win and they will be flying into tackles all over the pitch – I can’t see Real Madrid doing the same, and they will be largely looking after themselves for the Champions League Final. Cadiz are fighting for their lives in the relegation battle, and they were able to get a result against Real Madrid.

Real Betis started the season brilliantly, had their wobble after mid-season when they pressure came on in the top four race, but they have gathered themselves very well to finish the season reasonably strongly. They will be confident having won their last two games – two decent performances against Valencia and Granada o steady the ship after a run of games without a win. Sevilla have finished the season so badly they are actually lucky Real Betis dropped so many points. But overall I’m happy to have a small position against Real Madrid here – like I said they have nothing to play for and everything to look forward to next week – I can see Real Betis making this one close.

The Ultra Says:
Two points lay (liability) Real Madrid to beat Real Betis at 1.76 with BETDAQ BETTING EXCHANGE.
