FRIDAY IN EUROPE: Our football tipster The Ultra previews Friday’s Serie A / La Liga games between INTER MILAN v SALERNITANA and ALAVES v SEVILLA both with a recommended BETDAQ bet.

INTER MILAN V SALERNITANA

7.45pm It’s been a hectic week around Europe and the action continues on BETDAQ Betting Exchange with Friday night football from Serie A and La Liga. We start the evening in Serie A with Inter Milan host Salernitana. Inter were one of the clubs that featured in the midweek action as they played AC Milan in the first leg of the Coppa Italia Semi-Final. They had to settle for a 0-0 draw there and all eyes will turn to the second leg later in the month. Both sides went into that game in average form to be honest and a draw wasn’t a surprise – we landed a confident bet on under 2.5 goals. If you include the Champions League and that Coppa Italia match, Inter arrive into this fixture with no win from their last six games which is remarkable. They have hit a wall at just the wrong time in the season – remember last season when they came to join AC Milan at the top of Serie A and then kicked on to put the title race to bed. They just haven’t done that this season, and finally Napoli took advantage last weekend to jump over both Milan clubs and top the table.

It’s not all doom and gloom for Inter however – they may sit in third two points behind Napoli and AC Milan but they do have a game in hand. Win that and they sit top of the table, and they should get back to winning ways tonight. They meet a very average Salernitana side who sit bottom of the table. They have only managed 15 points from 25 games this season and they also have a terrible away record too. Salernitana actually sit bottom of the home form and away form table in Serie A! They haven’t got much going for them, and the market is very confident on a home win here with Inter trading 1.18 at the time of writing. I feel this will be a case of how many goals will Inter score rather than will they win. Salernitana do come here off the back of four wins, and I can see them making Inter grind out a win here rather than blowing them away. Inter aren’t exactly creating chances for fun and scoring a tonne of goals lately. This could be a pretty boring, one way win for Inter and under 3.5 goals looks cracking value at 1.8. Inter will grind out a win rather than a 5-0 or 6-0 in my opinion and unders looks excellent value.

The Ultra Says:
Three points win Under 3.5 goals at 1.8 with BETDAQ BETTING EXCHANGE.

ALAVES V SEVILLA

8pm Next we move to La Liga as Alaves host Sevilla. This is another must win game for Sevilla as they try to keep tabs with Real Madrid at the top of the table. They would have got a massive boost from beating Real Betis last weekend, and that keeps them six points behind Real Madrid having played the same number of games. That loss would have put Real Betis under immense pressure in the race for the Champions League spots, but Sevilla fans can keep dreaming for the time being. As I have already said this season, I doubt Real Madrid care about Sevilla too much, but Sevilla have to keep trying and hopefully they can put them under pressure at some stage. To be fair Real Madrid have given them a few chances this season but Sevilla have had too many draws. While this might seem like an easy task on paper because Alaves in the relegation zone, Alaves are fighting for their lives at the moment and they will aim to put XI men behind the ball here and frustrate Sevilla. An easy criticism of Sevilla is that they have had too many draws this season, and I can fully understand why some football punters want to lay them at around 2.0 for this fixture. In my opinion however, those odds are a little too high and the 1.97 is a good value back.

Alaves only chance of a result here is a 0-0 draw in my opinion, or a reasonably lucky 1-1. They have scored less than one goal per game in La Liga this season, and on average they are conceding 1.7 goals a game so nearly two. I know Sevilla like to grind out games rather than blow sides away, but they can grind out a comfortable win here. I can see them controlling the game keeping the ball for most of it – and although I wouldn’t be surprised to see a score line of 0-0 at Half-Time, I can see Sevilla breaking down Alaves in the second half. Alaves have played Real Madrid, Barcelona and Real Betis recently – they conceded an xG of 3.29 v Real Madrid, 1.66 v Barcelona and 238 v Real Betis. I expect a similar type of performance here at the back here from Alaves and Sevilla can take full advantage.

The Ultra Says:
Three points win Sevilla to beat Alaves at 1.97 with BETDAQ BETTING EXCHANGE.
