FRIDAY IN EUROPE: The Ultra previews SASSUOLO v NAPOLI and GIRONA v ALMERIA both with a recommended BETDAQ bet.

SASSUOLO V NAPOLI

7.45pm We’re all set for another great weekend on BETDAQ Betting Exchange, and Friday night football from Europe comes from Serie A and La Liga this week! We start the evening in Serie A as Sassuolo host Napoli. It was another good week for Napoli fans last weekend and they are running away with the title at the moment. They now have a 15 point lead, and they are surely going to lift the title. I thought they wouldn’t be caught with an 11 point advantage, never mind 15! Napoli have only won Serie A twice in their history, and you have to go back to the 1989/90 season – they would have fans that have never seen them have success like this – almost like when Liverpool won the Premier League title after all those years. You felt they might have a wobble when Inter Milan beat them in their first game back after the World Cup to close the gap a little, but they have impressively bounced back and extended the lead to the point now where they basically won’t get caught. A lead so big will give them a lot of options going forward too, especially with big Champions League games coming up. They play Eintracht Frankfurt away from home next Tuesday, and they’ll be fancied to come through that tie over the two legs.

Given Sassuolo are starting the weekend sitting down in 15th place – they look safe from relegation but they are only seven points away from the bottom three – I wouldn’t be surprised if Napoli opted to rest some players here. That’s definitely an angle to keep an eye on, as we could see a lot of market movement around the team news. That being said, Napoli should still get the job done here. They are trading 1.61 at the time of writing, and they will be a popular bet at those odds given how well they have been playing this season. I wouldn’t rush into backing them however – Sassuolo are unbeaten in their last four games, and that includes wins against Atalanta and AC Milan. They totally outplayed AC Milan and scored five goals too – there’s no getting away from the fact that there is a gulf in class between the sides, but Sassuolo come into this game in good form – probably playing their best football of the season. I feel that they can score at some stage, even if Napoli still win, and Both Teams To Score looks a very nice bet at 1.79.

The Ultra Says:
Three points win Both Teams To Score at 1.79 with BETDAQ BETTING EXCHANGE.

GIRONA V ALMERIA

8pm We move over to La Liga to finish the evening as Girona host Almeria. While I wouldn’t call this a big game in the relegation battle, there are so many sides involved in the relegation battle in La Liga this season the loser will be on the backfoot. Girona start the weekend sitting up in 11th which seems like a great position, however they are only four points away from the bottom three! There are a huge amount of sides within four points, and a few losses in a row could see them in big trouble – just ask Valencia who have dropped into the bottom three now after putting together four losses. Elche are nailed to the bottom and will go down, but everyone else between 19th up to 11th are definitely in the mix – there’s going to be plenty of drama which is exciting. Almeria are two points behind Girona, and only two points away from the bottom three. Girona will be delighted to have home advantage here, and they will definitely be looking at this fixture as a great chance to put a bit of distance between themselves and the bottom three. You have to say that they have a huge chance too – their home form has been very impressive and they have collected most of their points at home, while the Almeria away form has been very average. There’s a lot in Girona’s favour heading into this game.

I have to say I really fancy Girona here looking at the under-lining numbers, and I was surprised to see them trading 1.85 when I clicked into the market. Almeria have only managed three points away from home all season, and they are conceding an average xG of 2.0 this season. You’d expect to see them conceding a high xG given where they are in table, but Girona have been much more solid at the back. Very importantly too, Girona are actually creating more chances than they are conceding. You can see why they sit in mid-table a little bit further away from trouble, and I’d expect to see them stay there looking at their figures. Girona have put in most of their poor performances away from home, but at home they have been very impressive. They even finished a recent game with a higher xG figure than Barcelona here! Almeria concede a lot of chances, and Girona will out score them – at 1.85 they are worth a Max Bet in my opinion.

The Ultra Says:
Five points win Girona to beat Almeria at 1.85 with BETDAQ BETTING EXCHANGE.
