MONDAY IN EUROPE: The Ultra previews Monday’s European games between GLADBACH v RB LEIPZIG and GETAFE v REAL BETIS both including a recommended BETDAQ bet.

GLADBACH V RB LEIPZIG

7.30pm We have some cracking action for Monday night football in Europe on BETDAQ Betting Exchange! Two very interesting markets from the Bundesliga and La Liga to focus on, and we kick the evening off in the Bundesliga with Gladbach host RB Leipzig. We definitely saw some odd results over the weekend in the Bundesliga – both Bayern Munich and Dortmund lost on Saturday – and while RB Leipzig will definitely have an eye on their Europa League Semi-Final on Thursday night they can’t afford to ease off things in the Bundesliga with the race for fourth. They have had some brilliant momentum recently and they have been playing some superb football, but that loss against Union Berlin was a big setback last weekend and that has opened the door for the top four race again. They performed superbly on Thursday night in the first leg of their Europa League Semi-Final and although they won the game, they didn’t put the tie to bed with a 1-0 win. They still have work to do in Scotland. Gladbach are having another poor season, after finishing fourth in 2019/20 they dropped down to 8th last season and now they are hanging around 13th. They are conceding very close to two goals per game in the Bundesliga on average this season, and you don’t win many games doing that.

Gladback come into this fixture having conceded six goals in two games, they lost 3-1 to Koln and then managed a 3-3 draw away to Freiburg. I’m still not sure where the loss against Union Berlin came from for RB Leipzig, but other than that they have been superb. Perhaps it was just a case of playing Union Berlin back-to-back, and after the German Cup Semi-Final win they took them for granted. When I look at the set up for this game all I see is goals – Gladbach have been conceding goals for fun this season, but they aren’t shy going forward either. RB Leipzig won’t sit back, and we could have a very entertaining game here. The market is pretty much expecting goals though with over 2.5 goals trading 1.58 – that is still a tempting bet because I’d have it under 1.5, however I can’t get away from RB Leipzig here at 1.77. That’s a massive price for a side playing such good attacking football against this Gladbach side – Gladbach’s weakness is at the back, and I can only see RB Leipzig taking advantage of that. The 1.77 is worth a confident bet.

The Ultra Says:
Four points win RB Leipzig to beat Gladbach at 1.77 with BETDAQ BETTING EXCHANGE.

GETAFE V REAL BETIS

8pm Next we move to La Liga to finish the day as Getafe host Real Betis. We have a very open market here, and we should have an interesting game too. Getafe are still looking over their shoulder at the relegation fight below them in the table, but they are probably far enough away not to be worried. I say probably because all the sides towards the bottom of La Liga are fighting like hell at the moment and they are getting results too. Cadiz managed a draw with Sevilla on Friday, while Alaves beat Villarreal on Saturday. Getafe still have a nice little cushion and don’t need to be too worried – basically they can’t afford to lose all of their remaining games but once they pick up some points along the way they should be OK. Real Betis are still pushing for that fourth spot behind Atletico Madrid, and they won’t have given up on that yet. It’s been very disappointing for them to drop out so quickly, and then they dropped further points against Real Sociedad and Elche. I’m sure the loss to Elche at home was very hard to take, and that was a massive blow. That being said, I’m sure if you offered them fifth place and the Copa Del Rey at the start of the season they would have been delighted – it’s easy to get caught up in aiming higher, but as an overall it’s been an incredible season. They still have to finish strong though!

I have to say I was surprised to see such an open market when I clicked into it. I expected to see Real Betis as decent favourites here – I know that they haven’t been at their best in La Liga recently and that they have dropped plenty of points, but Getafe are a pretty average side and they aren’t at the same level as Real Betis. I expected to see Real Betis as decent favourites, and the 2.7 is a very appealing bet. We actually have a very open market here with Getafe trading just under 3.0 too. Getafe always aim to keep games very tight – they have scored just under one goal on average in La Liga this season and conceded just over one too. Their expected goals in the games they are involved in is under 2.5! The Under 2.5 goals bet is priced at 1.59 however, which looks pretty fair to me – it’s hard to argue that it should be shorter. I think the Real Betis bet at 2.7 stands out here; they have a huge amount going for them and I know that they are going through a rough patch but the Copa win will give them a big boost, and to be honest a small bet at 2.7 is a nice position given the value on offer. Real Betis are a better side than Getafe, and they should be clear favourites in my opinion.

The Ultra Says:
Two points win Real Betis to beat Getafe at 2.7 with BETDAQ BETTING EXCHANGE.
