7.30pm Monday Night Football should be a cracker as Koln host RB Leipzig! Koln have been consistently creating plenty of chances but they don’t have the results to show for it. They’ve been impressive in xG terms since returning from lockdown but have yet to win a game. Their three games have all seen four goals and given RB Leipzig have seen plenty of goals too, I expect a very good game to watch here.
RB Leipzig would have been disappointed to only draw with Hertha Berlin last Wednesday evening and that has been the story of their season – too many draws. They are actually scoring more goals away from home this season and a counter-attacking style seems to suit them better. They should have the perfect conditions tonight given how open Koln like to play.
More sides are showing more than 3 goals with Koln have just over 3 in home games and RB Leipzig away games showing more than 3.5. I think both sides will make for an excellent game here. Over 2.5 goals looks great value at 1.5, more or less the same price as BTTS which is also tempting but given the chances both sides create and Koln being open at the back I’m very happy to back over 2.5 goals at the odds.
